In the fourth episode of PitchCraft, we deep-dive into the first pitch deck of Acko, India's first digital-native insurer. Varun Dua, founder and CEO of Acko, speaks to Accel's Abhinav Chaturvedi, and the host of PitchCraft, Chandra Srikanth, about his approach to meaningfully redefine the insurance sector.

During Acko's series A funding in 2017, the pitch deck took on a different role for Varun and Abhinav, who had previously partnered together on Coverfox. They say a pitch deck helps to separate the good ideas from the bad and establish the founder's right-to-win.

They also debunk common myths about pitching to venture capital investors. Varun encourages founders to admit when they don't know something during the pitch, while Abhinav highlights the importance of authenticity and clarity of thought in attracting VC interest.
